Gertrude the frog doesn't like the stiff hair on her feet, and she doesn't like being teased by the other frogs. She moves to a quieter pond, where no one can laugh at her. Her encounter with a pink-skinned toad teaches her a valuable lesson about accepting difference, and the new friends live proudly with their pink hair and skin, letting the nastiness "slide off them without ever reaching them.

Cet album a été finaliste 2017 du Prix des Mots et des Merveilles Catégorie Petit ogre (4-6 ans). Il a également été jusqu'au second tour du Little Hakka International Picture Book Award en 2019.
