Le bourgeois gentilhommes

When Molière played Le Bourgeois Gentilhomme for the first time in Chambord in 1670 in front of the King and his court, Monsieur Jourdain is not only a father hindering his daughter's marriage plans. Beyond this traditional love story, the ballet-comedy evolves into a grand spectacle featuring dances and music, where the comedy and satire target the bourgeoisie who have chosen to adopt a noble spirit, ultimately culminating in a ridiculous Mamamouchi.

"Le bourgeois gentilhommes" is available on Storyplay'r in an illustrated version, in an audio version narrated by french native storytellers.
