More regular heat waves, heavier precipitation and storms, melting Arctic ice, rising sea levels... Most of these natural phenomena are linked to global warming. However, there is always someone who tells us that "the climate is not warming up because it is getting colder" or "it is not man's fault, it is the sun! They are called climate sceptics. Who are they really?

What is the difference between climate and weather? Why do we always talk about not exceeding 2°C? What is the impact of greenhouse gases? Are there economic, sociological or political issues at stake? What can we do about it?

The story is told by Célestine, a little girl. She remembers that once upon a time, in a mountain meadow, near her cottage, lived a big and beautiful flower, Sunflower. She spent her days, from morning to night, facing the sun. She drank in the rays of light and so became so big and bright. The other little meadow flowers, Daisy, Poppy, Colchicum, Violet and many others wondered what Sunflower's secret was. But one morning, a catastrophe occurred: the sun decided not to rise, because it was too tired and sleepy. Without sun, without light, Sunflower was condemned to wither and die. Fortunately, in the heart of the cold and desolate night, the bright moon will appear and come to the flower's rescue. But Sunflower will have to turn to the star and so she will become, that night... Sunflower !

Mimi cracra was born in 1975. From the pencil of Agnès Rosenstiehl for the magazine "Pomme d'api", this little girl with pink cheeks and brown hair, who is easy to identify with, takes us with humour into her daily adventures.

In the middle of the day, the sun suddenly starts disappearing little by little. Frightened, Moko wonders what magician could be responsible for this. With the village wise man he goes off to find the sorcerer responsible for the sun’s disappearance. When they cannot find the culprit, they join the other villagers to observe the sky. An old lady sees them and tells them she has seen this happen before and to have no fear, the sun will return. When it does, Moko thinks to himself that the sun, tired of shining every day, must sometimes simply need a little nap.

Moko sees the ocean for the first time. He thinks it is a huge river or lake, but when he tastes the water, he notices that it is salty. He wonders what sorcerer would have played such a trick. Back in his village, he asks an old wise man to cast a spell on the village’s river so that the drinking water never becomes salty. The wise man reassures him that this is not necessary, the water will never be salty and Moko is grateful that someone has already thought of protecting the village’s river.

A rainy day in spring is the perfect time for the snail family to go out on a picnic. They set off with their basket under the most delightful downpour. But no sooner have they started that the clouds lift to make way for sunshine. Oh, no! Their picnic is ruined. Will the snails be able to save the day?
