Les p'tits phasmes

Les p'tits phasmes

Six legs with suction cups and hooks, two compound eyes that give it a wide field of vision, mandibles for shredding rosehip leaves... but what is this strange stick? It's a stick insect!

An expert in the art of camouflage, its lifestyle is based on discretion. Waking at nightfall, moving slowly... it can even imitate a dead leaf to fool its enemies!

But beneath its shy appearance, the stick insect is a great traveller! When birds mistake its eggs for seeds, they are found intact in their droppings! They then hatch a few kilometres from where they were laid. Amazing, isn't it?

"Les p'tits phasmes" is available on Storyplay'r in an illustrated version, in an audio version narrated by french native storytellers. Thanks to our reading module, we can offer a reading aid for this story as well as for all the other ones, and tools for a dyslexic children adapted version.
