The legend of St. Nicholas is a cruel one, even if it has a happy ending. At harvest time, three poor little children go to the fields to pick up the few ears of corn that the harvesters have forgotten; alas, they get lost, night falls. They are afraid, they are cold. Finally, they see a light in the distance. Full of hope, they run towards it... Throughout the centuries, this legend keeps telling children that some adults are evil.
