Hush, Little Baby
Climb into bed and snuggle up tight. I’m here to tuck you in for the night. The moon has said goodbye to the sun. You need to rest, the day is done. And now I’ll sing a bedtime song. To give you comfort all night long...
Hush, little baby, don’t say a word, I’m gonna buy you a mockingbird. One that loves to chirp and sing, With all the joy a song can bring. So hush, little baby, dry your tears, And let the music fill your ears.
And if that mockingbird don’t sing, I’m gonna buy you a diamond ring. One that sparkles and shines so bright, It even glitters in the night. So hush, little baby, just lie back, And count the sheep ‘til you lose track.
And if that diamond ring turns brass, I’m gonna buy you a looking glass. You can look at creatures great and small, And see the glory of it all. So hush, little baby, rest your mind. And dream of a world that is good and kind.
And if that looking glass gets broke, I’m gonna buy you a billy goat. One that’s gruff, but also sweet, When you give him lots of grass to eat. So hush, little baby, snuggle up tight, And you’ll sleep soundly through the night.
