Things that go bump!
I woke up last night. I was shaking with fright.
Something went bump. It made me jump.
I looked to the left but nothing was there.
Then I felt my head but felt nothing but hair.
Then I got out of bed and looked at my toys.
But my toys were quiet and did not make a noise.
Then I lay down and looked under my bed.
And that is where I found my little dog Fred.
“Fred was that you that went bump in the night? ”
When he licked my face I knew I was right.
After that night I was not scared anymore. Fred sleeps in my room, quietly, on the floor.
