The night gradually left the forest... And light took its place… Creeping in between branches and giant plants. Moko slept peacefully at the top of a tree.
Suddenly, a sharp hissing noise woke him. "The giants are approaching!" Moko said to himself. "I must hide…" He climbed down as quickly and started to run. He ran as fast as he could. But soon, he realized that he was alone and in the middle of... Nowhere. "I'm lost, and there is no path to bring me back to the sea", he said to himself. "The forest is mad at me for coming here. It wants to hold me prisoner."
Suddenly, from behind a bush, a young girl appeared. She had coloured rocks in her hair and carried, on her back, a quiver filled with arrows. She approached Moko. "Hello! I'm Totemie. And you? Who are you?" "I'm Moko... And I'm looking for the end of the world." Totemie looked at him, surprised. "It's not here though." "There are many giants in this forest, aren't there?" asked Moko. Totemie was even more surprised. "There might be giants", she answered, "but I have never seen them. And this is my country. Come, I will show you my village."
