The wind's eyes by Arnaud de Buchy, Sonia Grandame and Joachim Hérissé published by Le Regard Sonore
One morning, Moko and Totemie borrowed a rowboat from a fisherman and together, they crossed the big lake. Totemie had never sailed before, this was her first time. And for Moko, he was once again reunited with the sea's soft waves. Finally, they arrived at the opposite shore.
A huge plain, sprinkled with crop fields, sheltered several farms. Everything here was calm and serene.
Then, without warning, a dark and ominous shadow twisting upon itself between the sky and the earth descended from the horizon. The wind rose and became more violent. The shadow was coming closer, sweeping up everything in its path. "We're going to be swallowed up!" Totemie screamed. "I know about tornadoes. If she's one, the trees will know how to protect us", said Moko.. They started to run towards a tree with a trunk so large that nothing, Moko thought, could move it. They held on to that tree as hard as they could and waited for the wind shadow.
